Hammer Returns!

According to Empire online a Dutch producer, John De Mol, has snagged the rights to Hammer's library of over 300 films, including Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy. The reborn studio intends to produce projects for both film and TV. Could be very cool to have some classic horror in this era of the oh so popular torture porn flicks like Hotel and Touristas.

I love all of the old Hammer films! Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are the best! I fear that I have never heard of "Hotel" and "Touristas", though.

Then my dear Dr. you should consider yourself lucky.

I wonder if he owns the rights to Quatermass . . .? My favorite Hammer film is actually "The Abominable Snowman," but my experience with that studio is far more limited than it should be.

They announce this every few years and nothing ever comes of it. I remember specificaly seeing this as a headline in Variety a couple years ago, among many other times in other publications. Sorry to be a downer

John-
Good question! And I've never seen The Abominable Snowman but it's hanging around here somewhere, I'll have to check it out. I'm pretty partial to Blood From the Mummy's Tomb...that Valerie Leon is so foxy!

Joshua!
Of Course! Well I'll keep my fingers crossed just incase :(
