Happy Birthday Lance Henriksen

Yes it's Lane Henriksen's birthday and to celebrate here are 5 facts you may or may not have known about the man!

1. A school drooout at the age of 12, Lance was illiterate until the age of thirty and learned to read by studying movie scripts.

2. Was considered for the title role in The Terminator, but was ruled out when it was decided that Arnold Schwarzenegger (who was reading for the role of Kyle Reese) would be the perfect choice as the Terminator.

3. As a young man, he hitchhiked across the United States.

4. He has filmed at least 7 movies in Romania.

5. He and Bill Paxton are the only two actors to face off against a Terminator, an Alien, and a Predator.

Great actor.

I was told recently that he'd killed a rattlesnake in front of Ridley Scott and that got him the role of Bishop

My favorite from Lance was his role in "Near Dark". Also a great Paxton role in that movie.

Dean-
Agreed! Brilliant actor!

Arkonbey-
What a great story! He seems like he'd be such a cool guy to get to know.

Pidomon-
No kidding! Lance rocks!

Bradda-
Near Dark is such a great and I think forgotten movie. Now I just want to watch it again.

Randal-
I really wish I had actually watched more than an episode or two of that show. I'll have to add it to the Netflix Que at some point.

Lance was very illiterate. In fact, he had scripts put on cassette tape so that he could memorize his lines because he couldn't read them.
