Man, what DeCarlo could have done if Heavy Metal magazine existed in his day.
I love these pinups.
I love Dan DeCarlo, and I totally see the appeal of his pin-ups, but too often they just make me uncomfortable, like I'm looking at Betty and Veronica naked, and I feel shame.
What a great post, I love Decarlo's work!
What really creeps me out are the cartoons he did w/ old guys that look like Mr. Lodge or Mr. Weatherbee lusting after girls that look like Betty & Veronica.
Definitely some good classics of Dan DeCarlo.

I LOVE Archie comics! I always have, always will especially the Little Archie comics from the 60's great weird stuff!
And it's soo cool that DeCarlo did so many pin-ups and pin-up cartoons. I know alot of his stuff was published in Playboy but yes it would have been cool to see a serialized naughty series!

I know it's weird but sort of part of their charm too. I don't want to see "Betty" or "Veronica" standing next to a muscle man, I think flabby office dude is more interesting but that could just be pervy me :)
