OK, this is messed up. I haven't been over here in a while (I'm keeping up via my feed reader) but I dropped by tonight cuz I was telling a fellow Trek fan on MovieWeb about my banner (way back when). Not only do I find your (verrry nice) new pin-up banner, but a Lost in Space post. I was talking about the LiS movie to someone else on MovieWeb two nights ago. There's a psychic link going on here again. Unless, maybe, you're the person I was talking to over there!
PS - I like your gothy 'girl-Spritle' and Chim-Chim Meez. L8r!
ThoughtCriminal- Sounds like the name of a bird :)
Doc- Agreed :)
BonK! I liked the Lost in Space movie, went to see it the Theater and it was like the first DVD I ever bought. Though I find most people didn't care for the movie... LOVE the show thogh too!!!
And I can think of no better person to have a psychic link too :)
StonyPillow- yep...the pain...
Bill- Bestest of the bestest! His dialogue on the show was perfect!
Arkonbey- What an AWESOME sounding model!!!! I hope you post pictures when you get around to putting it together. And Bill Alexander was pretty cool but I'll always have a special place for Bob and his little fluffly clouds keeping me company on Saturday afternoons as a child.
Dean- I'm a little grateful it's not as freaky as all that I think...
Dang it, late to the party, but never fear, Smith is here. :)
I remember this Dr. Smith was awesome. The movie one, not so much, but that's because the movie family was so dysfunctional they never should've gone into space.
And Bill Mumy from the original series is my own personal nerd hero. Not only has he been in 3 successful Sci-Fi series (LiS, B5, and Star Trek [albeit DS9]), he's also part of the musical group Barnes & Barnes, infamous for the song "Fish Heads."
*sigh*
Back to the pic...
Zachary Harris was THE MAN! Not only did he make me feel the emotions of vegetization when he was turned into a carrot (or was it a stalk of celery, I forget), but he also out robotted that ludicrous lump when he was on the original Battlestar Galactica.
Anon- Yeah the movie Smith can in no way compare to TV show Smith. Billy Mummy does rock hard, I bet he's a blast to hear speak. Love the Fish Heads video.
I didn't realize he was on Galactica...never really got into that show, I've always been more of a Buck Rogers gal. Figure I'll check it out at some point though...thank heavens for the magic of DVD!

Blundering Bubble-Headed Booby!
He makes Bob Ross look like a wuss.

Oh, the pain.
The Lost in Space robot is maybe the best robot ever. The only other possible contender is the Forbidden Planet robot.
I've got a Polar Lights model of Dr. Smith and the Robot I need to build up. The face on the model is perfectly cast.
Doc: Bob Ross IS a wuss! Bill Alexander rules!! He taught Bob to paint and Bob took over and made it boring:(
Stony: Dammit! that's what I was going to say.
I just saw the title of the post before I clicked over and assumed it was going to be kinkier.
Oh well.
