... Actually, these posters make me want to see the movie even less than I wanted to after hearing the name of the movie.
Actually, I heard that Eli Roth is a douche AND a basterd.I kid, I kid.
Um, actually, these posters make me want to see the movie even more now that I know they're pissing off humorless internerds.
Kal is Supporting Basterds.I have no doubt. I want to see this movie.
Um, SamuraiFrog, the posters aren't pissing me off. They just aren't doing their job, in my opinion, which is to draw people into the movie.Classic posters draw you in and make you want to see the movie, even if the name is funny sounding. These just seem like the latest in a long line of Hollywood making movies just to put their star du jour in some outfit that they think'll sell to the teeny-bopper mall shoppers.
Tarantino's a plagiarist of the worst kind. This film is going to bomb even bigger (if possible) than "Death Proof", which was the worst film I ever saw in the theater.
i like the alternate spelling
I dislike Terrentino in general and this movie in particular. The latter for far too many reasons to go into on in the comments section of somebody else's blog.
Anon-Gosh I guess we just disagree. Not only do I love the name of the movie...even if it is borrowed from a fantastic flick from the 70's! But I love these posters! Sometimes I think they can get carried away with character posters these days but there is something that just screams out to me in these...especially the Eli Roth poster. I LOVE that bat!UFC-I've heard that about Eli Roth...SamuraiFrog-I just really dig these posters! I really can't wait to see this!Kal-Hooray for Kal! Internet high five! I didn't think he could top himself after Kill Bill and Death Proof but Basterds has WWII soldiers fighting Nazis! Soooo cool!Anon-see earlier comment :) And do you really think these posters appeal to teeny boppers? I honestly can't imagine there are alot of teens dying to see a WWII flick, but maybe that's just me.Django-Why do you consider Tarantino to be a plagiarist? Is it because he wears his influences on his sleeve? Just kind of curious. I think every filmmaker shows their influences in what they make...the same way my influences appear in the art I create (though they may not be obvious to anyone but me :) Distributorcap-Yeah...I noticed that too ;)Arkonbey-I guess we differ then, I've really enjoyed most of his movies and cannot wait to see this one.
