Wonderful, wonderful. Reminds me of this old coffee table pinup book I have that has some Bettie in there. Also reminds me of how many twentysomething hipster girls I see trying to rock the Bettie look these days. Some of them even get about 40% of the way there, too!
I love the way pin-up modeling has really come back in vogue...unfortunately I think you are right too many people try to be Bettie instead of doing their own thing :)
What gets me about BP is that, for a sex symbol, she gave the appearance of being accessible. She wasn't disturbingly beautiful, she was just painfully cute (that first photo especially).
Much more Mary-Ann than Ginger, more Baily Quarters than Jennifer Marlowe.
I too love the comeback of pinups. sexiness without... well shots I wouldn't discuss on an open channel ;)
