Day 5- The Matrix Tron

Here it is the last day of the Skullcave/ Quit Your Day Job Crossover!

The Matrix Tron

In the near future, a computer hacker/ arcade owner named Neo discovers that a malevolent cyber-intelligence, The Matrix, has stolen several of his ideas for video games and marketed them into some of the hottest sellers on the market. One night in an attempted hack to prove his claim, he finds himself pulled into a virtual world full of neon stripped jumpsuits and razor thin cars. Attempting to find his way out of the mainframe, Neo hops himself a razor thin car only to discover that The Matrix has planted a bomb on the vehicle’s undercarriage set to blow if the car drops below 50mph. Can Neo survive the ride? And just how the hell will he make it out of the game? Maybe Jeff Bridges can help? Maybe not.

And for more crossover craziness check out The Adventures of Lance Henriksen Across the Eighth Dimension!

This might sound ridiculous and making me a nerd, but the first thing I thought, I didn't even read the post, is of my kingdom heart II game!! Keanu really looks like that Tron guy in the game!!! Are you a designer for the characters???

This crossover works really well on so many levels. The lead characters in both films have a messiah complex, and they are both trapped in an artificial world. In this world, Agent Smith and Sark both work for MCP. Double the rich, creamy villainy! I love the image, both your picture and the world that you have created.

My favorite crossover is still "Jack Bauer and 24 Hours on the Planet of the Apes," though!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is my favourite! Of course Zornk will hold a special place in my heart.

Well better late than never I've just uploaded my final entry - Bettie Page vs Army of Darkness!

Jill-
Boy I haven't played Kingdom Hearts 2 yet but I'm sure the character in the game must be based on the Disney movie Tron. And I don't work in videogame design though that sounds like a pretty fun career.

Dr. Zauis-
You forgot to mention how both movies are insanely boring! Sorry I know I'm pretty much alone on that one, hated The Matrix series...ALOT! The picture turned out well though! Glad you enjoyed the silliness!

Lee-
You are a master the poster is great!

You are right, the scripts for both films were insanely boring, but visually fascinating. When Tron came out, no one had ever seen a film like that before.

I can agree with that both very visually interesting but scripts that needed alot of work!

You just have to laugh at the junk science of The Matrix. Somehow aliens are using humans as batteries to store energy. The whole premise is ridiculous - If you want to store energy, use a plant, photosynthesis is very energy efficient. If you have to feed a human with something, and then draw energy from it, you are going to lose over 90% of the energy invested! These are like really, really stupid aliens. (Probably from planet Neocon!)

I agree and well said Doctor.

Can't you just hear the Wachowski brothers now tho:
....but...but plants don't look super cool when they are flying through the air shooting at their enemies in slow motion...

There's a lot of back story in regards to why using humans as electricity etc in the animatrix.

But just to nitpick they aren't aliens either. They are machines built by humanity who turned on us a little like skynet (we're at fault kind of) - the using of humans as a power source is ironic in that we blacked out the sky to stop them using solar power so plants won't work for them either.
