And I wouldn't have known it was his birthday either, but I just happened to see a little item about it on the IMDB.
I love Gumby! When I was a kid, Gumby only played occasionally in reruns. It was always a treat to catch Gumby and Pokey! One of the best parts of the show was that Gumby challenged scale as he played with recognizable toys, and also things like books and coffee cups. The whole show felt like it was taking place in your own home because of all of the items that you could recognize. All hail Art Clokey, father of claymation!

Your right there was something oddly fascinating about trying to figure out Gumby's actual size. Wouldn't you love to see a giant Gumby walking around the neighborhood?
Somebody should photoshop Gumby into Ghostbusters.
