There are about four or five of those in Brisbane alone which puts a great joy in my heart. One day we were driving along and I said to Tracey when I spotted one of them coming towards 'hey it's a Ghostbuster car' then I realised that it bloody well was a Ghostbuster car and screamed that for several hours afterwards.
The awful thing to discover though is the fate of the original car used in the movie. It is sitting in a backlot somewhere rotting, literally rotting. They loaded it full of crap and stuff.
Lee- That was a great story! I can just picture that! I saw a Ghostbuster car driving through DeKalb here where I live last spring. It's probably a good thing that I was on my way to work otherwise I would have followed it to see where it went like some kind of automobile stalker.
It's ashame to hear the original car is in such disrepair!
Captain- The Batmobile is a really freaking cool car! Someday when I'm rich (ha!) I'll have a batmobile and the Ecto-1 in my garage.
@Dean - you know I never thought about it but that really did brighten my day and brought a smile to my face whenever I think about it.
@Becca - yeah it is a real shame about the real car - someone once found the original shuttle-craft from Star Trek in an aviation dump and they rescued it!

Lee,
That's the coolest story. It would make someone happy to see that. I know it would me.
It is oddly cool, isn't it?
I always wondered what all the stuff was for and how you changed the rear tires if they went flat). Maybe if there'd been a third movie...
Though I have to say, the TV Batmobile is my absolute favourite screen car...
