It goes beyond perfectly cast: there is nobody else who could play Hellboy.
The wife and I can hardly wait...
Before the Hellboy movie came out, I didn't know who the character was... and now, Ron Perlman is my entire conception of that character.
I happened to flip on one of the Hellboy animated movies last night and I actually said "Ron Perlman is fucking awesome."

Those Hellboy animated movies are really good you should check them out if you get the chance. They are making a third one to I think. Ron Perlman is fucking awesome!

Very, very nice. Except for the whole indiscriminate slaughter thing, I rather agreed with the villain. But, I suppose that was the point...
I can't wait for the movie to come out over here. The Actor's Studio clip was hilarious too.
